Afternoons, check out Jamie Roberts! Jamie began his career in high school at the age of 14 (yeah, we know…everyone says that…but it's true), back in the days of AM radio and vinyl records.
In 1981, he was nominated as one of the top Small Market Country DeeJay's in America by Billboard Magazine, had his first Programming job at the age of 18, spent a good part of the 80's at legendary 96-STO in Evansville (where he became the highest rated drive-time announcer in the history of that city), went on to have a huge following at 1071-A1A in Melbourne, Florida (where he also covered Space Shuttle launches live from Kennedy Space Center), then it was on to a management position at WLOQ Orlando. He now resides in the 3pm to 7pm slot here on Big FM.
Jamie is an amateur song writer and photographer, loves Golf, James Bond movies, and has spent some time in the cockpit working on his pilots license. Give him a listen some time. Would you fly with him?
