Chris Stapleton, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett & Sam Hunt Dominate Nielsen’s Mid-Year Charts

According to Nielsen Music’s 2016 mid-year charts, Chris Stapleton, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett and Sam Hunt have had a pretty good six-month run. The foursome dominated six different mid-year charts.

Chris reached the top spot on both the Top 10 Country Albums chart and the Top 10 Selling Country Albums chart with his debut solo album, Traveller.

Thomas Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man” was the No. 1 tune on both the Top 10 On-Demand Country Song Streams chart and the Top 10 On-Demand Country Audio Streams chart.

Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind” edged out Florida Georgia Line’s “H.O.L.Y.” on the Top 10 Selling Digital Country Songs chart, while Sam Hunt’s “Break Up in a Small Town” copped the No. 1 spot on the Top 10 On-Demand Country Video Streams chart.

Interestingly enough, Thomas Rhett cracked the Top 10 on all six charts. Talk about a banner year—er, half year.
