August 17th, 1985, The Highwaymen snagged their only #1 hit with “Highwayman”. The band consisted of country legends Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash.  The song sold half a million copies and the album was certified gold.  “Highwayman” was co-written by Glen Campbell and Marty Stuart added guitar to the song.
